About this deal

Can I also just point out that in the first 30% of this book I read the line "He touched his forehad to mine" at least 906 times. Bye And then their problems lie with Queen Mab and the fact that Estrella could very well be her daughter. I didn't think this one would top book 1 for me but it did. The loyalty and devotion from Caelum was perfection. I am so glad we got his POV and could see inside his mind and his feelings for Estrella. He is obsessed and absolutely in love and possessive but he also inspires her to find her strength.

Harper L. Woods does amazing things and expands the world in this book. We began to learn a lot about magic, then creatures and realms. It follows traditional fairy tale lore much more than many of the other popular fairy tale series. There is so much action in this book and the characters grow and develop.Caldris: “You are too young to understand what we share. Just because you would take it for granted now does not mean that you will not come to appreciate me in time, as your fear and prejudice against my kind dissipates. You have a lifetime of untruths to overcome, but I can be patient for you. I have already waited centuries to feel the love we share. I would wait one hundred more.” Celaena Sardothien, heroine of the New York Times bestselling series, rises from the ashes to burn even brighter than before. this whole book was just them riding on a horse or sleeping in a tent. I don’t like when the entire story is just them traveling.

Sometimes something different in between all the romance really hits the spot. With that cliffhanger I hope you don’t have to wait too long for the next book! 🙂 Reply It takes quite a bit for Caldris and Estrella’s relationship to reach the point of trust and openness that one would hope they could achieve. But they do. I was not made for war. I was made for peace and a cuddly blanket in a comfortable chair in a library with a book in my hand.” Never pretend to be something you’re not. Never dull how bright you burn so that others may feel comfortable in your presence.” While I really enjoyed What Lies Behind the Veil, the first in this series, I’m sad to say I did not enjoy this follow-on.but its filler i found worth reading because caelums love for estrella is what dreams are made of and the mystery surrounding estrella, what she is, and her powers is enough to keep me hooked. Basic✨ There is no subtle foreshadowing. We allllll know whats coming but we still have to GET there. Me personally? Hearing I have a mate? I would have been embarrassingly down for that but I'm a slut and also have very low morals. Book Genre: Dark, Dark Fantasy, Fae, Fairies, Fantasy, Fantasy Romance, Magic, New Adult, Paranormal, Paranormal Romance, Romance

First of all the amount of errors in mostly the later 4th of the book were insane. More than I’ve ever read in a published book. It pulled me out of the story with how drastic they were. I have really enjoyed the development of their relationship. They really learned to listen to each other and became a great team. The trust between them warmed my heart and I will always love how Caelum honors Estrella’s strength and encourages her to possess her power. To my fellow spice lovers, if you enjoyed the spice in Book 1, you’re going to love what you get here. There’s more of it and it’s even hotter now that the truth is out because it adds so much excitement and passion to their intimacy. This book does end on a cliffhanger. I’m pretty sure ALL the books will end like that until the very end. And while, normally, this would kill me–I do appreciate that the author doesn’t make us wait TOO long for each book.

I’m truly unsure how to rate this book. I decided to DNF at first halfway through. Couldn’t let it go so I decided to finish it so I could form my opinion and thoughts in a less emotional state and with the whole narrative. So strap in this is gonna be a long one. I have so many thoughts so bare with me as I attempt to rope then together. CAELUM IS SO ROMANTIC AND PERFECT AND POSSESSIVE AND AGGRESSIVE AND LOVING AND NURTURING. IF YOU DON’T WANT HIM, I WILL GLADLY TAKE HIM OFF YOUR HANDS. 🤤 Even when she hated him he still roped her into sex cause she just couldn’t deny the attraction. The mating bond was a crutch in this book. It was toxic. And I absolutely love fated mates. It has NEVER made me this uncomfortable. It felt like a way to make Estrella do things she didn’t want to because of the bond.

The Wild Hunt waits for none… not even the secrets waiting at the gates of Alfheimr. Estrella’s story continues. Author’s Note: This book is intended for readers who are 18 and older. It contains mature language, graphic violence, and explicit content with darker elements. This is book two in a series and ends in a cliffhanger. What Hunts Inside the Shadows (Of Flesh and Bone, #2) by Harper L. Woods – eBook Details I needed more detail on the actual mechanics of the world, but it seemed that everything just moved so fast there was no time for details. sprinkled liberally throughout this book. It read like mewling drivel. And honestly after reading the sex scenes, I almost wonder if this author has ever actually had sex? I'm voicing this as someone who understands a setup contradiction statement (ie "You'll never defeat me!"--villain) playing out as foreshadowing for that exact thing happening later on in the payoff. This was not that. Either the characters in this book have the memory of goldfishes, or their EQ is in the single digits. The pacing of the book feels so off to me and so slow. It really felt dragging and once or twice I thought about DNF´ing but decided to power my way through it.Overall ‘What Hunts Inside The Shadows’ was a lot of fun. The cliffhanger at the end of this book was definitely another hard one to swallow. How on earth am I going to be able to wait so long for the next one?! But I definitely recommend this read if your into the paranormal, fantasy, romance, suspense genre. For weeks, he stood by my side, twisting his words into pretty half-truths. He enraptured me with his smooth temptation, leaving no corner of my being untouched. He consumed my mind and my body, then finally claimed my heart for himself. But Caelum’s true identity is terrifying enough to bring me to my knees. I was really looking forward to this book. I had high hopes for this author being a diamond in the rough and this series being their chance to really grow and shine. Instead, this book is one of the worst I've ever read.
