Events are happening so quickly that it doesn’t make sense to spend a year or two writing a book, which is then published the year after that. When I first read this book, I felt as if Eisenstein had written the book that had been floating around in my head for the last several years. The Ascent of Humanity easily ranks with the works of such giants of our age as David Bohm, Julian Jaynes, Jean Gebser, Alfred North Whitehead….It is a future for humanity collectively, and it is a future for each of us individually, and for every level of society between and outside those poles: intimate relations, community relations, political relations, ecological relations. This knowledge seldom finds clear articulation, so instead we express it indirectly through covert and overt rebellion.

Soon a new medical advance, a new law, a new educational technique, would propel the onward improvement of life. Could you describe briefly, cause I want to go into it in a lot more detail, but what are these two stories of life, the story of separation and the story of intervene? It almost got in the way of my hearing this book since a machine voice is completely opposite to Charles Eisenstein's message. I had no ambition whatever to become a success, build my resume, go to graduate school, or anything like that.Now I’m not saying that that the COVID virus is not related to this, to the sickness, but it’s, it’s interesting that, that there’s such a tremendous mobilization to do something about coronavirus, because we knew what to do. The holistic acupuncturist and the sea turtle rescuer may not be able to explain the feeling, 'We are serving the same thing,' but they are. An uplifting, inspirational, spiritual and social examination recommended for a wide range of readers looking for positive encouragement. Charles Eisenstein’s writing on themes of civilization, consciousness, money, and human cultural evolution have generated a vast following. And I think that, that it, this does not have to be like, you’re ripping up way something that’s so precious to you.

Like these things are all steeply on the rise, but there’s no, there’s no like, Oh my God, we’ve got to change our entire way of life to do something about this. I am saying that there is a time to do, and a time not to do, and that when we are slave to the habit of doing we are unable to distinguish between them.It’s like his book dropped from some alien culture that has extensively studied humanity for thousands of years and offers not only a summary of that history but also a prescription for how to get back on track to a more healthy way of living, for ourselves and our planet.
